We do not charge per error, per alteration, or by the hour; we charge a standard rate, dependent on word count only.
Works are completed within an agreed timescale, and can even be edited urgently using the Express Service we have available during evenings and weekends, and other busy times or holiday periods.
Service Breakdown
Proofreading Service
We will complete a thorough review and correct any spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors. We will also ensure any quotes, citations, dialogue and overall formatting is correct and consistent, as are all paragraphs.
Upon completion of your Proofreading service, you will be provided with two documents: one detailing all corrections made, using clear markings; and a second document in its clean, complete form, free from marks and suitable for readership and/or submission. Both versions are forwarded onto you, the client.

Proofreading Timescales:
Proofreading assignments are simpler and quicker to complete than copyediting. As such, please use the below timescales as a guideline to how long it will take to edit your document, although documents are usually processed much quicker. However, please ensure you have checked Proof Edit’s Availability Calendar.
Up to 30,000 words: 2-3 business days
30,000–70,000 Words: 4-5 business days
70,000–90,000 Words: 8-10 business days.

Copy Editing Service
In addition to all checks and amendments carried out as a part of our Proofreading service, a document submitted for Copy Editing will receive a deep edit. Sentences and paragraphs are reconstructed where necessary in order to provide a smooth, flowing read, with cohesiveness and professionalism ensured throughout. Any facts are checked for accuracy. The document’s typeface is analysed for consistency, as are page and chapter numbers. Any figures, pictures and references are examined to ensure all are present and correctly labelled.
Upon completion of your Copy Editing service, you will be provided with two documents: one detailing all corrections made, using clear markings; and a second document in its clean, complete form, free from marks and suitable for readership and/or submission. Both versions are forwarded onto you, the client.
In some instances, we may also include a third document detailing any additional comments for your attention or suggestions for further work. This will be clearly communicated to you.
Copy Editing is our recommended service for all documents, but especially for those that are academic in nature, such as in the case of assignments, dissertations or theses, or when the author speaks English as a second language. Those documents that are of critical importance and that must be professional in all regards should be Copy Edited.

Our Paraphrasing service is our premium service. Documents requiring paraphrasing will be completely rewritten whilst maintaining the same overall meaning, tone and style. During the process of rewriting, the document is also thoroughly proofread and copy edited, ensuring the work is completely free from errors, formatting inconsistencies, and generally poor structure.
Documents that are Paraphrased read as completely new documents, are plagiarism-free, whilst conveying the meaning and value of the original.
